Job summary

Ten Five Hospitality Concept is launching The Oak Room in Georgetown, Washington, DC. We are seeking dynamic bussers to help maintain pristine dining spaces and support servers in delivering an elevated guest experience.

Bussers ensure tables are correctly set, silverware is replenished, and glasses stay full while staying mobile and team-focused. A six-month hospitality background and a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months minimum experience in bar, restaurant, or hotel service.
• Excellent listener and communicator.
• Ability to multitask and focus on guest interaction.
• Team player who can anticipate needs.
• Positive attitude.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist when asked with guest requests and server needs.
• Maintain cleanliness by picking up debris or spills on the floor.
• Check chairs, banquettes, and areas under tables for overall cleanliness.
• Operate as a team member, helping others and requesting help when needed.
• Reset tables according to the floor plan.
• Restock servers’ station with silverware, plate ware and glassware.
• Help clear tables with the assistance of a server.
• Provide water service and maintenance.
• Mark tables to the server section you are assigned to.
• All other duties as assigned.

Ten Five Hospitality is excited to announce the launch of it's new restaurant and lounge concept in Georgetown, The Oak Room. We are seeking dynamic, experienced professionals to join our team as we create an elevated dining experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in fine dining service & a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.

Position Summary

Bussers are responsible for making sure that tables are set, silverware is placed correctly, and glasses stay full. They support the servers and ensure all tables are set and cleared in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist when asked with guest requests and when needed for server needs.


• Maintain cleanliness by picking up any debris or spills/grease on the floor.


• Look for overall cleanliness of the dining room by checking chairs, banquettes, as well as underneath tables.


• Operate as a member of the team, helping others and requesting help when needed.


• Reset tables according to the floor plan.


• Restock of the servers’ station with silverware, plate ware and glassware.


• Help clear tables with the assistance of a server.


• Provide water service and maintenance.


• Mark tables corresponding to the server section you are assigned to.


• All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time.


• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.


• May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs.


• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.


• Must be able to bend or lift up to 50 lbs.

Skills/ Experience

• Six (6) months previous bar, restaurant, or hotel experience.


• Excellent listener and communicator.


• Ability to focus on guest interaction and multitask.


• Team player and able to anticipate others’ needs.


• Positive Attitude.


• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
