Ritual House is a brand new restaurant concept located in the Historic Union Trust Building in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh. We offer elevated American cuisine with global influences, a dynamic hand crafted cocktail program, a vibrant atmosphere, and a truly unique dining experience.
JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Bussers/ Food Runners are the backbone of our Front Of House Team. Alongside our Servers and Bartenders, Bussers/ Food Runners ensure that our team is always prepared to deliver timely, clean, and attentive Hospitality to our guests. Bussers/ Food Runners must possess a strong command over the food menu, confidence when presenting and describing food to our guests, and a problem-solving attitude when working with the rest of our teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welcoming guests with a smile
Delivering food orders to guests in a timely and courteous manner
Communicating regularly with and responding promptly and courteously to all guest requests
Providing exemplary service to include refilling beverages and clearing tables
Responding sincerely and appropriately to guest requests
Practicing alcohol awareness and exercising good judgment when serving guests alcohol in compliance with local laws
Performing opening and closing duties
Maintaining a professional, composed, and calm demeanor always
Embracing a culture of genuine hospitality
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Food Handler certificates
Ability to carry at least 30 lbs.
Strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, squat and lift while on the shift
Six months of full-service restaurant experience preferred
High School Diploma/ GED
Able to multitask and organize
