Job summary

Sycuan is seeking a diligent server to provide guests with friendly, efficient service in our dining room. You will greet guests, take beverage orders, deliver drinks, and respond to requests while maintaining clean, stocked stations.

This role requires a County of San Diego Food Handler Card, frontline hospitality experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Multilingual abilities and punctual, professional conduct are valued.

Qualifications

• County of San Diego Food Handler Card required.
• Desirable: bussing experience, server experience, guest service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, sanitary dining areas by cleaning surfaces, restocking, and resetting tables.
• Greet guests, take beverage orders, deliver drinks, and respond to guest requests.
• Stock and clean restaurant stations, water and condiment supplies, and coffee/soda machines.

Job description

Job Purpose:

Provides servers and guests with a clean and stocked dining room

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

1. Ensures safe and sanitary dining areasby cleaning table and chair surfaces, emptying ashtrays, replacing used tablecloths, plates, cups and utensils, sweeping floors, transporting bus carts to the dishwashing station, disposing of all trash, and resetting tables as needed.
2. Provides guests with serviceby acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the restaurant, taking beverage orders, delivering requested beverages, and responding to guest requests.
3. Ensures restaurant stations are stocked and cleanby placing delivered water, food supplies, cups and condiments in the server stations in the kitchens, and cleaning coffee machines, soda machines, sinks, shelves and counters according to established procedures.
4. Promotes guest relationsby responding to guest requests, offering appropriate up to date information regarding promotional contests and giveaways, providing requested assistance and product knowledge, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
