Job summary

SPIRE Hospitality is seeking a Busser to support our restaurant team in Park Ridge, NJ. You will deliver a memorable dining experience by assisting with service and guest engagement.

The role involves preparing trays, delivering orders, serving beverages, refreshing tables, and restocking stations. Training is provided; no prior hospitality experience is required. Food handlers certification is preferred. Competitive hourly pay with benefits is offered.

  • Food Handlers Certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness.
  • Prepare food and beverage trays and carts in anticipation of incoming orders, ensuring everything is ready for prompt service.
  • Retrieve food and beverage items from the kitchen, verifying that each order is complete with all food, beverages, alcoholic drinks, and condiments.
  • Warmly welcome guests by serving beverages, breads, and butter to enhance their dining experience, and graciously replenish as needed to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Swiftly refresh tables, and diligently reset all service-ware to create a welcoming and immaculate environment.
  • Replenish and restock side-stands, to maintain smooth operations.

Essential Job Functions:

Physical Demands:
  • Kneel, stoop, grasp, lift and carry, and transport 50 – 75lbs
  • Manual dexterity of hands to use food and beverage equipment
  • Work most of the shift standing and moving about in the restaurant and kitchen areas
Qualifications:
Education:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
Experience:
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred

pay rate per hour: $16.50- $17 per hour
