Job summary

Ventura’s Offshore Cafe in Northfield, NJ seeks hard-working Bussers to join our front-of-house team. You will help keep a busy dining room clean, organized, and ready for the next seating, supporting servers and the kitchen through turnover and service prep.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong stamina, and open evening/weekend availability. This is an on-site position with competitive hourly compensation plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Table Turnaround: Promptly clear dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware from tables once guests depart; sanitize and reset tables efficiently for the next seating.
• Routine & Scheduled Cleaning: Responsible for the scheduled, routine cleaning and maintenance of dining room furniture and deep cleaning of dish racks in the kitchen.
• Takeout Station Support: Restock front-of-house takeout packaging items.
• Restroom Maintenance: Hourly checks to ensure restrooms are stocked, clean, sanitary, and presentable.
• Dining Room Upkeep: Monitor and clean floors, assist with spills, and maintain dining room/service station cleanliness.
• Server Support: Refill water glasses, deliver bread, and run ice or clean glassware to service stations.
• Service Prep: Stock plates, silverware, glassware, and help set up/break down the dining room.

Job Summary

Cleanliness, speed, and teamwork are the backbone of a great dining experience. Ventura’s Offshore Cafe is seeking hard-working and energetic Bussers to assist our front-of-house team. Your primary goal will be to keep our busy dining room turning over quickly, helping to ensure that every guest steps into a clean, welcoming, and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Table Turnaround: Promptly clear dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware from tables once guests depart; sanitize and reset tables efficiently for the next seating.
• Routine & Scheduled Cleaning: Responsible for the scheduled, routine cleaning and maintenance of dining room furniture (booths, chairs, and tables) as well as organizing and deep cleaning dish racks in the kitchen.
• Takeout Station Support: Manage side work to include the routine restocking of all front-of-house takeout packaging items (e.g., paper handle bags, soup cups, lids, containers, and utensils).
• Restroom Maintenance: Perform hourly checks of the customer restrooms to ensure they are fully stocked, clean, sanitary, and presentable for our guests.
• Dining Room Upkeep: Monitor and clean floor areas, assist with light spills, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the dining room and service stations.
• Server Support: Assist servers by refilling water glasses, delivering bread, and running ice or clean glassware to service stations.
• Service Prep: Assist with stocking clean plates, silverware, and glassware, and help set up or break down the dining room before and after service.
