Job summary

V&E Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Busser to maintain a clean and organized dining area and to help ensure a seamless guest experience. You will clear and reset tables, assist servers, and keep service stations stocked while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Busser preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Table maintenance: Clear and reset tables, remove used dishes and glassware promptly.
• Assist servers by delivering beverages, refilling water, and delivering food orders as needed.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness by wiping and sanitizing tables, chairs and surfaces.
• Keep service stations stocked with glassware, utensils, napkins and supplies; inform kitchen/bar staff when restocking is needed.
• Assist guests by answering questions, providing directions, and accommodating special requests while ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
• Safely transport used dishes and equipment to the dishwashing area using bussing carts; assist in cleaning the dishwashing area.
• Collaborate with bussers, servers and kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

Position Overview:

V&E Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team. The Busser plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized dining environment and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:

1. Table Maintenance:Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring they are clean and properly set for the next guests. Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly.
2. Assist Servers:Collaborate with servers to provide exceptional service to guests. Support servers by delivering beverages, refilling water glasses, and delivering food orders as needed.
3. Dining Area Cleanliness:Continuously monitor the dining area for cleanliness. Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
4. Refill Supplies:Keep service stations stocked with clean glassware, utensils, napkins, and other necessary supplies. Inform the kitchen and bar staff when additional supplies are needed.
5. Guest Assistance:Assist guests by answering questions, providing directions, and accommodating special requests when possible. Ensure that guests feel welcomed and attended to during their dining experience.
6. Bussing Carts:Safely transport used dishes and equipment to the dishwashing area using designated bussing carts. Help maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area.
7. Teamwork:Collaborate with fellow bussers, servers, and kitchen staff to create a positive and efficient work environment. Be willing to assist in other areas of the establishment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Busser in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
• Positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical qualifications:

• Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions.
