Job summary

Rocknrevusa is seeking a friendly, hardworking Busser to prepare dining areas and assist servers during service. Responsibilities include cleaning tables, transporting dishes, restocking utensils, and supporting smooth seating and guest experience. Must be able to lift and stand for long periods and work well with the team.

Experience in a restaurant is preferred but not required; good communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare service area at the beginning of each shift.
• Between seatings, promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths and reset surfaces.
• Take soiled tableware to the dish room and sort silverware, dishes, and glassware.
• Inspect assigned restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as needed.
• Respond to guest requests and relay to server as needed.
• Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating and customer service.
• Assist server with food delivery during peak periods and large parties.
• Be available to fill in to ensure smooth restaurant operation as directed by manager.

Job description

Bussers prepares dining room for service by cleaning tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed. Make sure diners water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service. Bussers might help servers bring food out to a table, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.


• Take soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area.


• Between seating’s promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop.


• Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed.


• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.


• Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.


• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.


• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.


• Positive interpersonal skills required.


• Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests.


• Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.


• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
