Responsibilities

• Remove all dishes and other items from the table following the meal.
• Clean and professionally prepare the table for new guests according to the company’s standards.
• Perform cleaning side work as assigned.
• Complete all service paperwork as required.
• Support waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as needed.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Physical ability to carry heavy trays and tubs filled with dishes.
• Physical ability to balance heavy items.
• Previous restaurant experience is strongly preferred.
• High energy and stamina are required.
• Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills to treat patrons like family.
• Ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role is physically and mentally demanding. Bussers are on their feet most of the time and must work well under pressure. The job may require longer, irregular hours, including weekends and nights. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

While performing duties, employees are often required to talk or hear, stand and walk with heavy trays (up to 50 pounds), sit, handle objects, reach, climb, or stoop. Sensory abilities include sight, taste, smell, and hearing. Exposure to raw meat, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and risk of electrical shock is possible. The noise level varies from moderate to loud.
