Job description

Bussers are responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, or resetting tables. They ensure that the restaurant is well stocked with necessary items such as silverware, plates, napkins, and cups of water glasses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supports Downtown Blues’ mission, vision, and values
2. Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
3. Remove dirty utensils and replenish as needed – Pre-bus and after service
4. Clean and reset tables after guests leave
5. Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
6. Take out trash and linens
7. Sweep and mop as needed
8. Check bathrooms hourly to make sure they are stocked and clean
9. Perform all pre and post shift side work required
10. Collaborate and communicate with managers, servers, hosts, bussers, bartenders, runners, and kitchen staff
11. Preparedness for shift (timely arrival, required uniform, etc.)
12. Assist in other jobs throughout the restaurant
13. Complete pre, during, and post shift side work
