Job Summary

The Art Institute of Chicago dining facilities, in partnership with Levy and Boka Restaurant Group, aim to transform the food and beverage experience. We are looking to add talented individuals to our team.

Daily operations include service at The Café, Modern Bar in the Modern Wing, and The Member Bar at Terzo Piano, with opportunities to host world-class events.

Summary:

Sets and clears restaurant tables; stocks all service stations; assists food servers with table service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Clear dirty tables and prepare them for the next guests; reset all service ware as prescribed.
2. Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations, including silverware, linens, and condiments; wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors as needed.
3. Serve beverages, breads, and butter; assist servers with food and beverage service.
4. Transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area.
5. Perform general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned.
6. Fold napkins throughout the day to maintain supplies.
7. Replenish condiments and restock side stands as part of side work.
8. Handle additional duties such as cleaning spills, guest requests, and seating guests.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
