Job summary

Covetrus, Inc. is seeking a Business Unit Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and the control environment for Covetrus North America’s largest business unit.

The MWI Controller will lead revenue recognition, inventory management, and complex areas such as software development and intercompany transactions, driving standards under US GAAP. The role reports to the North America Controller and manages a team of accounting professionals, partnering with Operations, FP&A, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
• 8+ years of diverse financial experience in various finance/accounting roles
• 3+ years in hands-on management position
• Strong GAAP knowledge with ability to apply US GAAP
• Experience integrating accounting functions within a business combination

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting close process and monthly analytics for consolidated reporting
• Manage revenue recognition, inventory control, general accounting, and internal controls
• Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide guidance on objectives, strategies, and financial decisions to senior leadership
• Mentor and develop accounting staff and ensure effective cross-functional collaboration
