Job summary

Regions Financial Corporation is seeking a Business Unit Compliance Analyst to oversee compliance processes and manage risk according to regulations. The role requires significant experience in compliance and the ability to collaborate with business leaders, driving awareness and adherence to policies. This position, primarily offsite, allows for impactful contributions to the firm's operations amidst evolving compliance landscapes.

Qualifications

  • Nine (9) years of experience in Compliance, Quality Assurance/Control, or relevant fields OR five (5) years with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory environments as it relates to compliance.
  • Project management and redress experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of rules and regulations impacting compliance for the specific line of business.
  • Conduct research on compliance laws and administer monitoring programs.
  • Oversee training for compliance awareness in the business area.

At Regions, the Business Unit Compliance Analyst is a first line of defense risk management function that ensures that business unit activities follow necessary rules and regulations and comply with legal boundaries and jurisdictions. Associates at this level may have full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products, and are considered analytical or procedural experts within a specific line of business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains a proficient knowledge of rules and regulations and their impact on products, services, and operations for a specific line of business
  • Establishes partnerships with line of business leadership and serves as a subject matter expert on issues related to compliance
  • Conducts research of laws and regulations that impact compliance to include monitoring for new laws and regulations or changes to existing laws and regulations
  • Partners with the second line of defense to assess new laws and regulations and how they impact the business group
  • Focuses on the resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes
  • Administers a monitoring and testing program to ensure effective compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Develops business group policies and procedures and provides recommendations to management for final approval
  • Oversees creation and delivery of training to assigned business area to increase compliance awareness
  • Gathers information requested by regulatory agencies
  • May supervise day-to-day work of other professional level compliance associates

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GEDand nine (9) years of experience in Compliance, Quality Assurance/Control, Audit, or other related compliance function specific to a line of business
  • Or Bachelor’s degreeand five (5) years ofexperience in Compliance, Quality Assurance/Control, Audit, or other related compliance function specific to a line of business

Preferences

  • Master’s degree
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Project management and redress experience preferred.

This position is currently offsite in Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Orlando, or Tampa and associates will work from their home primarily. They may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
