Job Description

The Business Unit Compliance Analyst at Regions is a first line of defense risk management role that ensures business activities comply with rules, regulations, and legal boundaries. Associates may own processes, reports, procedures, or products, and are considered experts within a specific line of business.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of rules and regulations impacting products, services, and operations
  • Establish partnerships with business leadership and serve as a compliance subject matter expert
  • Research laws and regulations affecting compliance, monitor for updates
  • Assess new laws and regulations with the second line of defense
  • Resolve complex problems requiring interpretation of policies and guidelines
  • Administer monitoring and testing programs for compliance
  • Develop policies and procedures, and recommend for management approval
  • Oversee compliance training for the business area
  • Gather information for regulatory agencies
  • May supervise other compliance associates

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with nine (9) years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of relevant experience
Preferences
  • Master’s degree
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Project management and redress experience are preferred. This position is primarily remote, based in Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Orlando, or Tampa, with occasional on-site requirements.
