Job summary

RJI Search in Stafford, TX, is seeking a Business Systems & Technology Manager who can partner with the CEO to set priorities and translate business needs into technical requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing software development, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance.

You will manage the technology roadmap, budget, ISO 27001 audits, and work with an international development team and MSPs.

Qualifications

Business Systems & Technology Manager - Bilingual in Spanish

Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 base + discretionary bonus

Reports to: CEO

Location: Stafford, TX

Are you the technology leader who can sit with the CEO to talk priorities and ROI, then turn around and talk architecture with developers and security with your MSP? Our client, a growing technology company, is looking for a hands‑on, business‑minded leader to own its entire technology function.

This is a true leadership role. You'll lead software development, business systems, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology compliance, working with internal staff, a Mexico‑based development team, MSPs, consultants, and vendors. Hands‑on coding is not required. What matters most is your ability to understand business needs, translate them into clear technical requirements, and drive projects all the way through execution.

What you'll do:

• Own the technology roadmap, annual budget, and KPIs, and keep executive leadership informed on progress, risks, and recommendations
• Partner with department leaders to understand their challenges and turn them into practical technology solutions and project plans
• Lead the software development function from requirements and system design through testing, deployment, and support
• Oversee IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and well documented
• Oversee user provisioning, access controls, software licensing, hardware lifecycle, and day‑to‑day technical support for employees
• Manage the MSP and technology vendors, holding them accountable for service, security, and delivery
• Work with the Compliance Officer on ISO 27001, audits, business continuity, and disaster recovery
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, systems integration, and process improvement
• Roll up your sleeves to troubleshoot and keep projects moving when needed

What you bring:

• Strong project management and people leadership, with experience juggling multiple technology initiatives at once
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience managing or working closely with development teams
• Working knowledge of application architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, cloud applications, and source control
• Experience with custom software, ERP systems, or business application platforms
• Strong IT infrastructure knowledge across on‑premises and cloud environments: networking, servers, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, firewalls, identity and access management, backups, and disaster recovery
• Cybersecurity best practices and risk management experience
• Experience with ISO 27001 or a comparable security framework, plus audit support and strong documentation habits
• Sound business judgment and the confidence to present tradeoffs, costs, and recommendations to executives

Nice to have:

• Hands‑on software development, systems engineering, or infrastructure configuration experience
• Experience in a small or growing company where you've built and improved the technology function

Candidates with both software and IT infrastructure experience will be considered at the higher end of the salary range.
