Job summary

Electronic Design Company is seeking a high-capacity operations leader in Minneapolis to join a growth-focused team. This Future Director of Operations role is a leadership-track position to build scalable systems, improve processes, and drive measurable business improvements.

You will partner with the President to implement ERP/CRM, develop operational metrics, and create accountability structures while progressing into broader leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve business processes across departments
• Eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks
• Build scalable workflows that support growth
• Create standard operating procedures and documentation
• Lead implementation of ERP, CRM, project management, service, and operational software platforms
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Manage user adoption, training, and change management
• Ensure technology investments generate measurable business value
• Develop KPI dashboards and operational scorecards
• Improve reporting and visibility across departments
• Create accountability systems that support execution
• Provide leadership with actionable operational insights
• Improve project delivery workflows
• Assist with resource planning and capacity management
• Standardize operational processes
• Work closely with the current Operations leadership team
• Learn key systems, workflows, and business processes
• Participate in planning and leadership meetings
• Progress into broader operational leadership responsibility over time

Operations Leadership Track | Future Director of Operations

Build the Systems That Scale a Growing Company

We are looking for a high-capacity operational leader who thrives on creating order from complexity, building scalable systems, and improving how work gets done.This is not a traditional project management position.This is a leadership-track opportunity designed for someone who wants to become the operational leader of a growing organization.

You will work directly with the President to lead process improvement initiatives, drive software and technology implementations, develop operational metrics, and help prepare the organization for its next stage of growth. Over time, this role will assume increasing operational leadership responsibility as part of a planned succession strategy. The company has identified leadership development, operational systems, accountability systems, and succession planning as key strategic priorities.

What You'll Do

Lead Operational Improvement
