Job summary

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Michigan Department of Transportation. You will analyze complex processes, document requirements, and contribute to system testing and user documentation.

The role supports hybrid work with two days in the office per week in Lansing, MI. A sign-on bonus up to $2,500 may be offered, with eligibility outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science, data processing, or IT related fields.
• Alternately, an associate's degree with 16 credits and two years of related IT experience.
• Alternative: high school diploma plus four years of related IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business processes and develop detailed business process flows.
• Gather and manage business requirements; facilitate requirements sessions.
• Trace and validate requirements and assist in user acceptance testing.
• Create user documentation and participate in pre/post-implementation support.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in CS/IT

Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in CS/IT and 2 years IT experience

High school diploma + 4 years IT experience or 4 years IT Student Assistant
