Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst within the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), Agency Services. You will design, test, and implement IT systems including the MiConnect/Eligibility platform and mentor staff while evaluating risks from legislative changes.

Responsibilities include supporting agency IT projects, disaster recovery planning, and contributing to the agency's strategic IT direction. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in CS/IT related field.
• Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in IT and two years of related IT experience, or two years as IT Student Assistant may substitute for education.
• High school diploma with four years of experience as an application programmer/operator/IT technician or four years as IT Student Assistant may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement computer systems and applications (Eligibility/MiConnect).
• Provide technical support to DTMB staff and evaluate new development tools and agency systems.
• Evaluate impact and risks to existing IT solutions due to proposed legislation or changes in procedures; assist in disaster recovery planning.
• Mentor DTMB staff to resolve client IT issues and contribute to IT strategic direction.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science or related IT field

Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in IT and 2 years relevant experience

High school diploma with 4 years IT experience or 4 years IT student assistant substitution
