Job description

The Department of Child Support Services is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Business Systems Analyst to join our team.

This position plays a key role in transforming departmental data into meaningful insights and ensuring reliable, efficient technical operations.

We are looking for a candidate with strong data analytics experience, including the ability to design and maintain Tableau dashboards that present complex information in clear, organized, and visually effective formats. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in developing data reports and automated worklists to support program needs.

In addition, this role requires a solid foundation in IT support, including help desk operations, server and system administration, local workstation setup, and Active Directory management.

As a member of our management team, the Business Systems Analyst participates in strategic planning and operational decision-making, helping guide the department's technology direction and contributing to improved service delivery for our community.

This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent, substitute, limited term, and temporary positions, both full-time and part-time throughout the County.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:

• Business Systems Analyst II: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems AND one year of experience involving business process analysis, systems planning, information systems, and/or project management AND two years of experience equivalent to a Business Systems Analyst I with the County of San Luis Obispo.
• Business Systems Analyst III: In addition, one year of experience equivalent to a Business Systems Analyst II
