About the role:

InsurePay is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Systems Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and documenting new requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. This role will focus on documenting existing software systems, capturing current functionalities, and maintaining detailed records of system modifications. The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to bridge business needs and technical execution, providing clear documentation throughout the software development lifecycle. • Analyze and document current software processes, workflows, and functionalities.
• Maintain and update detailed records of all software components, ensuring documentation reflects the current system state.
• Work with stakeholders to gather and define detailed requirements for new features and enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into stories for the development team.
• Facilitate discussions on potential system modifications and their impacts.
• Track, document, and communicate all system modifications, ensuring stakeholder approval.
• Maintain version control of technical documents.
• Collaborate with development teams to align documentation with system design.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings, clarifying technical details and updates.
• Assist QA in testing and validating new features and modifications.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in documentation processes and propose improvements.

• 3+ years of experience as a Business or Technical Analyst in software development.
• Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent communication skills to translate between business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar.
• Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or tech.
• Knowledge of system architecture, database management, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with API documentation and integrations.
