Job Description: Business Systems Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between internal stakeholders and engineering teams. This role will be responsible for gathering business requirements, prioritizing needs, translating them into technical specifications, and overseeing their successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Prioritization

• Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and define priorities.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops with the design team, and research to gather clear and actionable requirements.
• Evaluate and document business processes, identifying opportunities for system improvements and automation.

Documentation & Communication

• Write detailed business and functional requirement documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with developers and designers to ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
• Maintain clear and organized documentation for future reference and compliance.

Project Execution & Delivery Oversight

• Work with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of requirements, addressing any roadblocks along the way.
• Track progress, test deliverables, and validate solutions to ensure they meet stakeholder expectations and business goals.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track.

Stakeholder Communication & Timeline Management

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, delivery timelines, and potential risks.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and engineering, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate feedback loops, gather stakeholder input, and refine requirements as needed to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications: Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in HealthTech, InsurTech, or MedTech .
• Proven track record of gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements for software development teams.
• Experience working in a distributed, remote team environment with global stakeholders.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and data flows in a healthcare or enterprise SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience writing user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile tools for backlog management and documentation.
• Knowledge of data models and system integration best practices in healthcare or insurance technology.
