About the Role
Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst IV to support and ensure the quality, integrity, and reliability of enterprise data across multiple business applications and data consumers. This role serves as a critical liaison between business and technical teams, helping to investigate data issues, perform data quality analysis, support testing efforts, and improve operational processes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude, analytical problem-solving skills, data validation expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience working with SQL, Python, enterprise data environments, and emerging AI capabilities is highly valued. Success in this role will be measured by the accuracy of data delivery, effective issue resolution, process improvements, and overall support of business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions align with user needs and organizational goals.
- Investigate and resolve data inquiries related to data quality, data drops, duplicate records, accuracy concerns, and other data-related issues.
- Research data lineage and trace data mappings across systems to identify and resolve inconsistencies.
- Perform data quality validations, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis to maintain high data integrity standards.
- Participate in ticket triage meetings and production migration reviews, providing analysis and recommendations as needed.
- Create, update, and manage work items within Jira to support issue tracking and project delivery.
- Partner with Data Quality and Data Validation teams to support testing efforts and leverage tools such as Monte Carlo and Octane.
- Review existing workflows and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement best practices.
- Support evaluation of new features, technology initiatives and merger-related data efforts.
- Leverage AI knowledge and tools to improve team efficiency, accelerate analysis, and support operational objectives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL, including ad hoc query development, data analysis, data validation, and data quality initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience working in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of Python and its applications in data analysis, automation, or technical problem-solving.
- Experience performing data quality assessments, data validation, troubleshooting, and anomaly detection.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, think critically, and identify practical solutions.
- Strong understanding of data lineage, data mapping, and data governance concepts.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on Python programming experience.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Snowflake experience.
- Data warehousing experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics environments.
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies used to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
