Job summary

Williams International is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our DevOps organization. The BSA will ensure business needs are captured, translated, and delivered as effective software solutions, partnering with SMEs across manufacturing, engineering, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis or enterprise application support.
  • Strong understanding of standard business practices across manufacturing, finance, or engineering.
  • Experience in DevOps environments and collaboration with software engineers.
  • Proficiency in documenting requirements, workflows, and specifications.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication with SMEs, developers, and leadership.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis — Gather, validate, and document business requirements through direct engagement with SMEs.
  • Process Mapping — Analyze current-state workflows and design future-state processes that guide application development.
  • Functional Specifications — Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for software engineers.
  • DevOps Collaboration — Work within DevOps frameworks to support iterative development, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement.
  • Project Oversight — Use standard project-management tools to track progress, manage timelines, and ensure delivery of software features.
  • Stakeholder Communication — Serve as the liaison between business units and engineering teams, ensuring alignment and clarity.
  • Testing & Validation — Support UAT, validate functionality against requirements, and ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Change Management — Assist business units with adoption, training, and transition to new or updated applications.
  • Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce manual work, and enhance system performance.

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Works Within The DevOps Organization To Ensure That Business Needs Are Accurately Captured, Translated, And Delivered As Effective Software Solutions. The BSA Partners Directly With Business‑unit SMEs Across One Of The Following Functional Groups

This position is 100% onsite

The BSA collaborates daily with software engineers and business stakeholders to define requirements, design application functionality, and oversee development through structured project‑management tools and methodologies. They apply strong knowledge of standard business practices, ensuring that software solutions align with operational workflows, compliance needs, and enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or enterprise application support.
  • Strong understanding of standard business practices in one or more functional areas (manufacturing, finance, engineering, operations, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work within DevOps environments and collaborate with software engineers.
  • Proficiency in documenting requirements, workflows, and functional specifications.
  • Experience with project‑management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with SMEs, developers, and leadership.
  • US Citizenship
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) or Program Management.
  • Certification or experience with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, or financial applications.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis to support requirements and validation.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD concepts.
