University of California, Riverside is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support UCPath-related campus financial tools and systems. The role emphasizes data analysis, process design, and requirements documentation to improve financial operations.
Under supervision, the analyst will conduct fit-gap and data analyses, develop training materials, deliver training, and manage projects as needed to align with department goals and funding constraints.
This position has limited funding and is estimated for a duration of approximately two years, with the possibility of extension based on departmental needs, performance, and funding availability. The full salary range for the Business Systems Analyst is $79,698.96 - $144,155.52 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is from $79,698.96 - $106,600 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Under general supervision of the Payroll Coordination and Analysis Manager, the Business System Analyst will support UCPath related campus financial tools and systems. From systems that provide data as input to the UCPath system, to other systems that provide integration with campus financial system, and everything in between. The business systems analyst will be responsible for conducting systems analysis, fit gap analysis, data analysis, process design and/or process redesign, creation of business and functional requirement documents, develop training materials and deliver training, and manage projects as needed. Support UCPath initiatives of assigned functional responsibilities. Participate in UCPath project initiatives as assigned. The effort assigned to the job responsibilities may shift in response to changing goals and objectives and the demands of the project or needs in other projects.

Degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Requirement Required Degree Advanced degree in related field.
Experience 4 - 7 years of related experience.
Requirement Required Experience Business Analyst, Time and Attendance implementation experience in a higher education environment.
Experience with shared service center practices and technologies.

This role is responsible for partnering with functional stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, conduct fit‑gap and impact analysis, and support the successful implementation of system solutions. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for conducting systems analysis, fit‑gap analysis, data analysis, and process design and/or redesign. The role includes creating business and functional requirements documentation, developing training materials, delivering training, and managing or supporting projects as needed. The BSA supports UCPath initiatives within assigned functional areas and participates in UCPath project initiatives as assigned. Effort and priorities may shift in response to changing goals, project phases, and campus needs.
