Senior Business Systems Analyst – Payments & POS Modernization

Must be located in Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, or Austin, TX (Hybrid role)

No C2C or visa sponsorship

We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join a major grocery store chain in Texas. In this role, you will support critical projects related to the modernization of Point-of-Sale (POS) and payment systems. This role will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring detailed requirements are captured, workflows are optimized, and certification processes are completed successfully.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between business units, engineering teams, and external payment vendors.
• Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements for POS software, payment processing, and transaction routing.
• Support EMV certification processes, including testing coordination and compliance documentation.
• Map current and future state workflows for payments and store operations.
• Assist with vendor patch management, including intake, impact analysis, and certification tracking.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and testing of business requirements.
• Track project deliverables, manage risks, and support readiness activities alongside Project Managers and Business Leads.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience, preferably within Retail, Grocery, or Payment sectors.
• Strong understanding of payment processing workflows, EMV certification processes, and multi-acquirer environments.
• Experience working with payment terminal vendors and payment processors.
• Proficient in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation best practices.
• Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
• Knowledge of PCI compliance standards is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
