Job summary

Synechron is seeking a highly analytical Business Systems Analyst to support strategic initiatives across Financial Services and Payments platforms. The role collaborates with business, product, technology, and data teams to gather requirements, analyze datasets, define processes, and deliver data-driven solutions from a business-technical bridge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or Business Analyst.
• Strong expertise in SQL with the ability to write complex queries.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts.
• Experience participating in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and system requirements.
• Perform detailed data analysis using SQL to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.
• Analyze large datasets from multiple source systems and validate data quality.
• Create and execute data mappings, gap analysis, and impact assessments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA teams, and Data Engineers throughout the SDLC.
• Support system integrations, data conversion, data migration, and reporting initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and recommend solutions.
• Participate in UAT activities, test planning, test case creation, and defect resolution.
• Develop business process flows, workflow diagrams, and functional documentation.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and audit-related data requests.

We are seeking a highly analytical Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, and SQL to support strategic initiatives across Financial Services and Payments platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, technology teams, and data teams to gather requirements, analyze complex datasets, define business processes, and deliver data-driven solutions.

The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of financial data, transaction processing, payment flows, and system integrations while serving as the bridge between business and technology teams.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas TX is $100k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
