Job summary

Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong digital marketing domain expertise in Piscataway, NJ. You will bridge marketing stakeholders with delivery teams, analyze data, gather requirements, and optimize campaigns and customer engagement strategies.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong digital marketing domain expertise to bridge the gap between marketing stakeholders and technical/delivery teams. The ideal candidate will analyze marketing data, gather and document business requirements, and help optimize digital campaigns and customer engagement strategies.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, NJ is $$85K to $90K per annum & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for digital marketing initiatives
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows for development/implementation teams
  • Analyze performance data across digital channels (SEO, SEM, email, social, display, paid media) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of MarTech tools (CRM, CDP, marketing automation, analytics platforms)
  • Create dashboards and reports using tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau to track campaign KPIs and ROI
  • Map customer journeys and identify opportunities to improve digital touchpoints and personalization
  • Collaborate with UX/UI, content, and creative teams to ensure requirements align with campaign objectives
  • Work closely with IT/development teams during implementation, testing (UAT), and go-live of marketing technology solutions
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions
  • Maintain documentation including BRDs, process maps, workflow diagrams, and traceability matrices
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor digital strategies to inform business recommendations
Requirements:
  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on digital marketing, e-commerce, or customer experience projects
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels: SEO, SEM, paid social, email marketing, display advertising, and marketing automation
  • Hands‑on experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Adobe Analytics, or similar
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar
  • Proficiency in requirement‑gathering techniques and documentation (BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows)
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Strong data analysis skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and/or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, and campaign attribution models
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with CDP platforms (Adobe Real‑Time CDP, Segment, Tealium)
  • Knowledge of CMS/DXP platforms (Adobe AEM, Sitecore, Optimizely)
  • Understanding of GDPR/CCPA and data privacy considerations in marketing
  • Experience with e‑commerce platforms and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Certification in Google Analytics, Scrum/CBAP, or digital marketing (e.g., HubSpot, Google Ads)
  • Exposure to CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field.
