Job summary

Park Rapids, MN position with Doherty Staffing Solutions seeks a Business Support Specialist. You will handle calls, greet visitors, manage access, and support plant security and scheduling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English or willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Typing speed 40+ wpm.
• Excellent people skills and communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Overtime availability for workload and absences.
• Associates degree in Business Admin/HR/Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, determine purpose and forward to the right department.
• Greet on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce to staff.
• Monitor access and issue passes as required.
• Assist tour facilitator with name badges and PPE for visitors.
• Maintain and update PPE for plant associates as needed.
• Update employee and contractor security badges.
• Update crew schedules daily, including vacation coverage and call-ins.
• Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing and collating.

What You'll Do as a Business Support Specialist

• Answer incoming calls, determine purpose and forward calls to the appropriate department
• Greet on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
• Monitor visual access and issue passes when required
• Assist tour facilitator with name badges and proper PPE for visitors
• Maintain and update PPE for plant associates when needed
• Update security badges for employees and contractors
• Update crew schedules on a daily basis including vacation coverage, call-ins, and temporary job assignments
• Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, faxing and collating

What You Need to Bring to the Business Support Specialist Role

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English or willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Typing speed of 40+ words per minute

• Associates degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or similar field preferred
