Bank of America’s Global Commercial Bank is one of the largest in the world, serving companies with revenues of $50 million to $2 billion across all major industries. GCB provides Treasury, Lending, Leasing, Investment Banking, Risk management, and International subsidiary banking services, and is a critical growth engine for Bank of America.

The Commercial Banking Strategy team supports GCB and firmwide leadership to deliver GCB’s agenda of responsible growth and world-class client experience. The team is responsible for driving critical strategic and transformation efforts commissioned and sponsored by GCB’s President, and developed in close collaboration with business, product, and function partners. The role is based in New York and reports to the Head of GCB Strategy.

What you’ll do

  1. Own and drive 1-2 end-to-end strategy engagement(s) with some oversight from Managing Directors.
  2. Influence the strategic direction and business agenda for GCB in collaboration with other senior leaders through strategy engagements.
  3. Opportunistically take lead in generating new, innovative ideas to transform current business models and product offerings.
  4. Support building out our team and developing new, innovative capabilities over time.
  5. Help manage active project portfolio and adjacent efforts including recruiting, staffing, and junior team member coaching.
  6. Play a leadership role in attracting and developing junior team members and partners.

What you’ll bring to the team

  1. Minimum 8 years professional experience; 5+ years in a corporate development or strategy group of a financial services firm, management consulting firm, or investment bank.
  2. Track record of excellence and achievement.
  3. Strong problem solving and analytical skills; high level of comfort with numbers and financial modeling.
  4. Entrepreneurial initiative, coupled with commitment to highest quality standards and attention to detail.
  5. Team player able to bring together people and perspectives for new solutions, build confidence and trust.
  6. Strong presence, executive communication, and relationship building skills.
  7. Ability to work with changing deadlines and competing priorities.
  8. Knowledge of commercial banking and capital markets is a plus.
  9. MBA or an advanced business degree from a top-tier institution is a plus.

Pay Transparency details

US - NY - New York - ONE BRYANT PARK - BANK OF AMERICA TOWER (NY1100) Pay range $94,100.00 - $176,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
