Job Title: Director of Public Sector Sales, Cyber Security & Data Privacy

Location: Remote - New York City, NY

Job Summary: We seek a strategic Public Sector Manager to lead our SLED (State, Local, Education) go-to-market efforts. This high-impact role requires a leader with public sector experience, a passion for privacy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Responsibilities include leading a team of Account Executives focused on government, law enforcement, and educational institutions, and scaling our presence in these sectors.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and coach a team of Account Executives, setting clear goals and providing resources for success.
  2. Strategy & Planning: Develop and own the annual SLED GTM plan, aligning with company strategies and initiatives.
  3. Sales Execution: Support deal closing through high-stakes calls, pre-call planning, and deal reviews using MEDDPICC methodology.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales Ops, Marketing, Legal, Security, and Customer Success teams to support pipeline and customer experience.
  5. Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate forecasts and data hygiene in Salesforce, tracking key metrics.
  6. Process Optimization: Refine sales processes, messaging, and tools to improve scalability and efficiency.
  7. Market Development: Identify legislation, trends, and opportunities in the public sector, collaborating with Policy and Partnerships teams.
  8. Thought Leadership: Represent DeleteMe at industry events, webinars, and conferences as a privacy expert.

Job Requirements:

  • Reside in or near New York City, NY.
  • 5+ years in sales or business development, with a focus on public sector (SLED preferred).
  • 2+ years managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Proven track record of quota attainment.
  • Background in cybersecurity, SaaS, or data privacy preferred.

Skills: Deep understanding of public sector procurement cycles, proficiency with Salesforce and sales tools, strong communication and negotiation skills, familiarity with MEDDPICC, high EQ, and low ego.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Information Security, or related field.
