Tradebe Environmental Services seeks a Business Solutions Engineer - AI & Automation to accelerate value by building AI-powered solutions, automating workflows, and modernizing business processes. You will prototype and deploy across logistics, field service, and compliance domains, partnering with IT, business teams, and Global Digital Innovation.

• Experience modernizing legacy applications and working with cloud/low-code tools.

Business Solutions Engineer - AI & Automation

Reporting to the VP of IT US, the Business Solutions Engineer, AI & Automation will help accelerate business value by turning ideas into practical applications, workflow automation, and AI-powered solutions. This role is highly hands-on and focused on execution, working closely with business leaders, operational teams, IT, and Global Digital Innovation teams to design, build, deploy, and continuously improve solutions that increase efficiency, simplify workflows, and modernize business processes.

You will work across the full solution lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through deployment, support, and ongoing optimization.

Key Job Responsibilities

Rapid Prototyping, MVP Delivery, Application Development

• Rapidly evaluate opportunities, validate business value, and convert concepts into working prototypes and MVPs using AI-assisted development approaches.
• Design, build, and deploy business-focused digital solutions, including logistics platforms, field service tools, compliance applications, and legacy modernization initiatives from prototype through production.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into scoped, working solutions and scalable applications.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate fragmented processes and modernize outdated business applications.

Collaboration

• Own regular communication with senior leadership on the progress, risk, and business value of AI and digital initiatives, translating technical work into business language.
• Partner with business teams, Business Relationship Managers (BRM), IT, security, and Global Digital Innovation teams to align technical solutions with operational needs and governance standards.
• Serve as a technical translator between business stakeholders and technical teams to accelerate solution adoption and execution.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Analytics function to enable AI-powered business intelligence and decision-support capabilities.

Production Readiness & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure solutions meet operational requirements for accuracy, resiliency, maintainability, usability, and cost efficiency.
• Continuously iterate and improve deployed solutions based on business feedback and operational performance.

Training & Capability Building

• Upskill IT teams and business stakeholders through hands-on collaboration, reusable templates, practical examples, and build-together approaches.
• Help establish reusable patterns and best practices that enable broader AI adoption across the organization.

Do you have what it takes?

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience:
  • Experience in a business-facing technology role (e.g., consulting, business relationship management, digital transformation, or similar) where you translated ambiguous business needs into technical solutions and presented recommendations directly to senior or executive stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on software development experience across backend, frontend, and data layers, with solutions you personally designed and shipped to production.
  • 1+ year of demonstrated experience applying Generative AI technologies and AI-assisted development practices to accelerate solution delivery, automate repetitive work, enhance user experiences, and solve business problems.
  • Experience modernizing or replacing legacy/internal applications with scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, low-code/no-code automation tools, orchestration frameworks, observability tooling, or enterprise integrations is a plus.
  • Experience working in global organizations with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, compliance, security, and responsible AI practices.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000-$125,000/year depending on factors such as your location, experience, skills, and qualifications. Please note that the top end of the range is not guaranteed. This range is provided to offer transparency and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed offer. Final compensation will bedeterminedthrough a thoughtful assessment of your background and fit for the role.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for bonus potential , in line with our company’s bonus policies.
