Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Business Solutions Consultant to lead research and requirements analysis, shaping what the Development team will build or enhance. You will drive the requirements lifecycle from gathering through to release with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes understanding insurance products, data gathering, and crafting concise specifications to solve business challenges, while collaborating across teams in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial services or insurance roles.
• 2+ years gathering and writing business requirements for life or annuity products.
• Knowledge of life or annuity products and insurance.
• Industry certifications and/or licenses preferred.
• Understanding of Agile or Waterfall SDLC.

About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Business Solutions Consultant to serve as a lead role in research and requirement analysis. This individual will complete the requirements that the Development team will use to develop or enhance the company’s product offerings and require little guidance. This role is involved throughout the software development life cycle starting with requirements gathering and continuing all the way through to the successful release of the software.

Responsibilities

• Refinedocumentation for clarity and consistency by anticipating questions from development and testing teams and ensuring content is unambiguous and complete.
• Analyzecustomer requests to assess system impacts and engage customers in discussions regarding the benefits and tradeoffs of proposed updates.
• Expandindustry knowledge of insurance products through continuous learning and research.
• Gatherdata from multiple sources, including customers, product guides, marketing materials, prospectuses, style guides, and mockups, to develop solutions to business challenges.
• Evaluatepotential solutions and make informed tradeoff decisions.
• Implementstandard and non-standard customer requirements within at least one platform.
• Identifyand analyze problems while recommending effective solutions.
• Manageday-to-day issues and challenges independently with minimal oversight.
• Generateinnovative ideas by evaluating client requirements and system functionality.
• Resolveless complex client issues directly and engage senior team members when appropriate.
• Elicitcustomer requirements through documentation reviews, workflow analysis, and walkthrough sessions.
• Assesscustomer needs and business situations independently and in collaboration with others.
• Developclear, concise specifications with an appropriate level of detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working experience in the financial services or insurance industry, either directly through sales and marketing support, illustration or through a vendor position
• 2+ years of experience in gathering and writing business requirements for life or annuity products is required
• Knowledge of Life or Annuity products and insurance products is required
• Industry Certifications and/or licenses is preferred
• Understanding of Agile or Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
