iCapital is seeking a Business Solutions Consultant to lead requirements analysis for product development and enhancements. The role spans the full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to release, collaborating with development and testing teams.

Responsibilities include refining documentation, analyzing client requests, expanding knowledge of life/annuity products, and producing clear specifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
• 2+ years gathering and writing business requirements for life or annuity products.
• Knowledge of Life or Annuity products and insurance products.
• Industry Certifications and/or licenses preferred.
• Understanding of Agile or Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle.

About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Business Solutions Consultant to serve as a lead role in research and requirement analysis. This individual will complete the requirements that the Development team will use to develop or enhance the company's product offerings and require little guidance. This role is involved throughout the software development life cycle starting with requirements gathering and continuing all the way through to the successful release of the software.

Responsibilities

• Refine documentation for clarity and consistency by anticipating questions from development and testing teams and ensuring content is unambiguous and complete.
• Analyze customer requests to assess system impacts and engage customers in discussions regarding the benefits and tradeoffs of proposed updates.
• Expand industry knowledge of insurance products through continuous learning and research.
• Gather data from multiple sources, including customers, product guides, marketing materials, prospectuses, style guides, and mockups, to develop solutions to business challenges.
• Evaluate potential solutions and make informed tradeoff decisions.
• Implement standard and non-standard customer requirements within at least one platform.
• Identify and analyze problems while recommending effective solutions.
• Manage day-to-day issues and challenges independently with minimal oversight.
• Generate innovative ideas by evaluating client requirements and system functionality.
• Resolve less complex client issues directly and engage senior team members when appropriate.
• Elicit customer requirements through documentation reviews, workflow analysis, and walkthrough sessions.
• Assess customer needs and business situations independently and in collaboration with others.
• Develop clear, concise specifications with an appropriate level of detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working experience in the financial services or insurance industry, either directly through sales and marketing support, illustration or through a vendor position
• 2+ years of experience in gathering and writing business requirements for life or annuity products is required
• Knowledge of Life or Annuity products and insurance products is required
• Industry Certifications and/or licenses is preferred
• Understanding of Agile or Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
