Key Responsibilities
- Market and promote the Career Centers to employers and utilize business information to assist the team in career coaching.
- Participate in local strategic planning for employer demand-driven programs, training, and services in our region.
- Contact employers to assess their needs and provide information on services available through the Public Workforce System.
- Provide services to businesses including job posting, referrals, recruitments, job fairs, partner referrals, apprenticeships, and labor market information. Respond to employer requests.
- Ensure Career Center staff are aware of employer needs and job order specifics to facilitate effective service.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate placement of Career Center customers into open positions.
- Conduct or coordinate group presentations to employers.
- Organize and conduct job fairs, events, and recruitments to create labor exchange opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of customer service or relevant experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, public administration, business management, or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a career center or providing services to businesses is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a business services team.
- Knowledge of WIOA and other Career Center Program regulations and guidelines is preferred.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
