Federated Insurance in Albany, New York is seeking a Business Safety Consultant to help business owners nationwide create safer, more productive workplaces and manage risk alongside our risk management team. The role will rely on on-site consultations to advise clients and ensure effective risk controls across diverse industries.

This position requires relocation, travel up to 6 nights per month, and a four-year business degree.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in a business-related field.
• Experience in insurance loss control, safety, risk management, or fire prevention preferred.
• Willingness to relocate and travel up to 6 nights per month.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong computer, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site consultations to advise clients on ways to reduce risk.
• Evaluate risks and provide survey information needed to make acceptability and pricing decisions.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Company risk management policies and procedures in property/casualty insurance.
• Manage workload in assigned territory.
