Relationship Officer Role

As a Relationship Officer, you will play a key role in:

• managing and retaining existing customers and cultivating new relationships to grow East West Bank’s customer base, assets, loans, and deposits;
• working with internal business partners to facilitate connections to customers, helping them with specialized financial needs.

Responsibilities

• Achieve quarterly/annual goals through business generation of C&I, CRE, mortgages, SBA, treasury management, deposits, investments, and international and other commercial and consumer products offered through East West Bank.
• Understand the bank’s credit policy to identify client eligibility for loan products; understand client business and industry to identify strategies for new business opportunities and provide need‑based products to customers.
• Motivate, coach, and provide guidance to employees to achieve sales and service goals.
• Efficiently manage time and be result‑driven.
• Be an expert in using digital resources and technologies to optimize clients’ digital banking experience and possess the aptitude to learn new programs.
• Educate customers on how to use digital platforms to bank and invest at their convenience.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or business‑relevant associate degree such as business management, admin, or finance (preferred).
• 3+ years in commercial lending and/or consultative relationship sales role in a related industry with a proven sales track record.
• In‑depth knowledge of banks, credit, and deposit products; experience in international activities between the U.S. and Greater China (preferred).
• Strong sales and service skills including prospecting and networking.
• Proven success in establishing new clients, deepening customer relationships, and delivering results.
• Strong financial acumen and communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; able to manage client concerns.
• Ability to learn and adapt to latest information and technology platforms.
• Strong desire and capability to influence, educate and connect team, partners, and customers to technology.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $66,500.00 / Yr. – USD $77,500.00 / Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
