Job summary

Savage is seeking a detail-oriented financial and logistics administrator in El Dorado, KS. In this in-office role you will process invoices, monitor expenses, and support data validation and financial reporting while collaborating with field operations and back-office teams.

You will handle orders, inventory transactions, railcar coordination, shipment documentation, and month-end activities. The position requires an associate degree and solid Excel and accounting knowledge; prior logistics

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Logistics or related field.
• Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end processes.
• Experience supporting industrial, rail, or logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and accounts payable transactions.
• Monitor revenue and expense activity.
• Assist with data validation and financial reporting processes.
• Support month-end and account reconciliation activities.
• Process customer orders and manage inventory transactions.
• Coordinate railcar inbound and outbound activities.
• Maintain shipment documentation and bills of lading.
• Communicate order status changes with customers and operations teams.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between field operations and back-office teams.
• Support administrative, HR, and business process activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and record retention requirements.
• Contribute to Business Process projects and process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Basics

Location: El Dorado, KS
Compensation: Starting at $24.00 per hour
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm; Overtime as needed (100% In Office)
Travel: May be required for training purposes

What You’ll Be Doing

Logistics and Customer Operations

• Process invoices and accounts payable transactions
• Monitor revenue and expense activity
• Assist with data validation and financial reporting processes
• Support month-end and account reconciliation activities

Financial Administration

• Process customer orders and manage inventory transactions
• Coordinate railcar inbound and outbound activities
• Maintain shipment documentation and bills of lading
• Communicate order status changes with customers and operations teams

Office & Business Support

• Serve as a primary point of contact between field operations and back-office teams
• Support administrative, HR, and business process activities
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and record retention requirements

Projects & Additional Duties

• Contribute to Business Process projects and process improvements
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Logistics or related field
• Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis preferred
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end processes
• Experience supporting industrial, rail, or logistics operations

Some Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Sitting for extended periods of time (up to 6-10 hours per day), while working at computer or desk
• Frequently uses hands and fingers for keyboarding, writing, and operating office tools
• Reads printed materials and computer screens, adjusts focus, and maintains attention to detail
• Hears and speaks frequently, to communicate effectively in-person, by telephone, or via virtual platforms
• May be required to wear PPE, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, fire resistant and/or high visibility clothing, and hearing protection
