Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Agile Business Product Owner to optimize global trade management and supply chain processes. You will lead the strategic vision, manage backlogs, write user stories, and partner with IT to deliver lean, compliant solutions.

You will drive KPIs, apply Lean Six Sigma, mentor teams in Agile ceremonies, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements across domestic and international transport, freight, and customs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
8+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or product ownership.
Deep understanding of domestic and international transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and global trade regulations.
Proven experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working closely with development teams.
Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodologies; Black Belt preferred.
Strong facilitation skills and change management knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic vision, design, and continuous improvement of supply chain systems as an Agile Business Product Owner.
Create, refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on business value, ROI, and strategic alignment.
Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI planning.
Accept completed user stories and validate business requirements.
Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap.
Act as the primary business voice for Global Trade Management platforms.
Identify bottlenecks in logistics routing, freight auditing, import/export, and customs processes.

Optimize supply chain operations through strategic process improvements
Analyze and enhance end-to-end supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Lead the strategic vision, design, and continuous improvement of supply chain systems as an Agile Business Product Owner
Serve as the bridge between business operations and IT/development teams
Create, refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on business value, ROI, and strategic alignment
Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI planning
Accept completed user stories and validate business requirements
Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap
Act as the primary business voice for Global Trade Management platforms
Identify bottlenecks in logistics routing, freight auditing, import/export, and customs processes
Draft and revise business processes and manage related change communications and training
Champion system enhancements and operational excellence
Ensure digital solutions comply with international trade regulations
Collaborate with logistics teams, trade compliance officers, carriers, 3PLs, and customs brokers
Drive dashboards and reporting tools for transportation costs, delivery performance, and compliance metrics
Monitor KPIs and lead quality, waste reduction, customer satisfaction, and Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts
Use data-driven approaches to solve complex process issues
Work with stakeholders and IT teams to align processes with business requirements
Facilitate workshops and collaborative solution-development sessions
Build relationships with internal teams and external partners
Identify and implement technology solutions and automation opportunities
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
8+ years of relevant experience
Deep understanding of domestic and international transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and global trade regulations
Proven experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working closely with development teams
Deep understanding of agile methodologies and tools
Jira
Strong analytical skills
Deep understanding of supply chain management
Proven track record in leading process improvement initiatives
Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodologies; Black Belt preferred
Strong facilitation skills, including conflict management
Demonstrated expert knowledge/experience using basic change management principles and approaches
Master's degree preferred but not required
Formal change management training preferred
