Qualifications

• 7+ years in business operations, commercial operations, or related roles supporting commercial teams.
• Hands-on experience in rebate/contract administration, pricing support, deal desks, or data governance.
• Translate pricing, rebate, margin, and revenue data into actionable insight.
• Strong systems thinking; connect processes, data, systems and teams to design preventatives.
• Proven track record redesigning end-to-end processes to reduce manual work.
• Experience designing or implementing automation/AI tools is preferred.
• Experience standardizing reporting and expanding self-service analytics.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI tools; Salesforce and ERP experience preferred.

• Evaluate workflows across Business Operations to simplify, standardize, automate, reassign, or eliminate work.
• Improve end-to-end processes, handoffs, decision rights, service levels, and controls.
• Identify recurring requests for self-service or automation options.
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, knowledge resources, and scalable operating processes.
• Lead AI, automation, and process-improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Reduce the volume of reactive work reaching the Business Operations team.
• Standardize reporting methodologies and improve sources of truth.
• Expand self-service reporting and connect information across systems for insights.
• Partner with Finance, Data/IT, Sales Ops, and leaders to improve reporting quality.

The Business Operations & Transformation Lead will partner across the Business Operations team-including rebate and contract administration, customer data governance, sales compensation administration, pricing support, and other shared capabilities-to simplify processes, reduce reactive and administrative work, strengthen analytics, and create more scalable ways of working.

This role combines financial and business acumen, analytical problem-solving, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate can move from understanding a detailed business request, to interpreting the underlying data and financial implications, to stepping back and redesigning the process so the same issue does not require repeated manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Business Operations Transformation

• Evaluate workflows across Business Operations and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, reassign, or eliminate work.
• Improve end-to-end processes, handoffs, decision rights, service levels, and controls.
• Identify recurring requests that can move to self-service, automation, CSS, or other appropriate resources.
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, knowledge resources, and scalable operating processes.
• Lead AI, automation, and process-improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Help reduce the volume of reactive work reaching the Business Operations team.

Reporting & Analytics Optimization

• Review recurring reports and analytical requests for duplication, inconsistency, and manual effort.
• Standardize reporting methodologies and improve sources of truth.
• Expand self-service reporting and reduce repetitive spreadsheet production.
• Connect information across systems to provide more complete business insights.
• Partner with Finance, Data/IT, Sales Operations, and business leaders to improve reporting quality and usability.

Cross-Functional Process Leadership

• Serve as a senior thought partner across Business Operations capabilities, including:
  • Pricing and commercial support
  • Rebate and contract operations
  • Customer and account data governance
  • GROW / sales compensation operations
  • RFP and Deal Desk processes
  • Salesforce and pipeline processes
  • Sales and Customer Experience initiatives
• Identify gaps, duplication, unclear ownership, and breakdowns between functions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve the overall process rather than optimizing only one team's portion of the work.
• Influence change across Sales, Account Management, Finance, Product, Operations, and Technology without direct authority.

Qualifications Include:

• 7+ years of experience in business operations, commercial operations, revenue operations, finance, business analytics, or related roles supporting commercial organizations.
• Hands-on experience in one or more commercial operations areas, such as rebate and contract administration, pricing support, deal desk, sales compensation, or customer data governance.
• Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to translate pricing, rebate, margin, and revenue data into actionable insight.
• Strong systems thinking, with the ability to see how processes, data, systems, and teams connect, identify root causes rather than symptoms, and design solutions that prevent recurring issues across functions.
• Demonstrated success redesigning end-to-end processes to reduce manual, reactive, and administrative work.
• Experience designing or implementing automation and/or AI tools to streamline manual processes (strongly preferred).
• Experience standardizing reporting, consolidating sources of truth, and expanding self-service analytics.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); Salesforce and ERP experience preferred.
• Experience developing SOPs, playbooks, and knowledge resources that drive consistent adoption.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives end to end across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technology, optimizing the overall process rather than individual team components.
• Ability to lead and influence across teams without direct authority.
• Willingness to work directly inside current workflows to build credibility and understanding before recommending change.
