About the Opportunity

micro1 is engaging experienced business operations professionals to help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. In this role, you will apply your expertise in business operations, process design, workflow management, and operational reporting to create realistic tasks that assess AI systems' capabilities.

You will transform real-world operational workflows into structured benchmark tasks with clear instructions, supporting materials, and objective grading criteria. Your experience creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance (QA) checklists, and process documentation will help ensure that AI-generated outputs can be evaluated accurately and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design realistic, multi-step tasks based on real-world business operations, including reporting, process design, and workflow management.
• Define objective grading criteria that enable consistent evaluations across qualified reviewers.
• Develop tasks that require critical thinking, sound judgment, and accurate interpretation of multiple documents rather than simple information retrieval.
• Create or source supporting materials, including spreadsheets, system exports, process documentation, and operational reports.
• Identify and flag ambiguous or ungradable tasks rather than submitting work that does not meet evaluation standards.
• Deliver approved tasks on schedule while maintaining the required quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in business operations, operations reporting, process design, or workflow management.
• Direct ownership of operational processes rather than supervisory-only or adjacent experience.
• Experience creating or applying structured standards, such as SOPs, QA checklists, process documentation, service-level definitions, or training assessments.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze information across multiple documents.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with B2 proficiency as the minimum and C1 preferred.
• Ability to work independently and translate complex operational workflows into clearly defined, measurable tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing objective evaluation frameworks, operational benchmarks, or structured assessment criteria.
• Familiarity with identifying data discrepancies, analyzing operational reports, and improving business processes.
• Experience preparing realistic reference materials and documentation for complex, multi-step workflows.
• Previous experience with AI evaluation or large language model (LLM) assessment is beneficial but not required.
