Year Up United in Oakland, CA is seeking a Business Operations Instructor to deliver foundational concepts from our Business Career Pathway. You will create hands-on lessons, mentor students, and collaborate with a supportive academic team to prepare youth for corporate internships.

The role emphasizes interactive teaching, use of Microsoft Office, project management basics, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as an educator, facilitator, or practitioner.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with business operations concepts.
• Experience with eLearning, blended learning, and LMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver course content and ensure hands-on experience in business operations.
• Use discussions and projects to deepen understanding of teamwork and operations.
• Track student progress and grades in the LMS.
• Foster an engaging, respectful learning environment.
• Provide formal and informal feedback and assess student growth.
• Offer office hours and 1:1 tutoring to students.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
