Position Overview

We seek a sharp, high-agency generalist to join Mach9’s Business Operations team. You will work closely with the Founding BizOps Lead, gaining exposure across operations, finance, go-to-market, workplace, and HR functions. This role offers a unique inside look at how an AI startup operates and involves building internal systems to support our growth.

This high-impact role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes ownership of their work. You will help manage high-priority projects, introduce structure, and support critical initiatives across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and collaborate on high-priority projects with speed and accuracy.
• Partner with teams across GTM/sales, finance, HR, engineering, and operations to align workstreams with company goals.
• Identify inefficiencies and help implement scalable workflows, documentation, and tools.
• Support development of dashboards, forecasting models, and reporting tools for leadership visibility.
• Help build and maintain our internal knowledge base in Notion.
• Own key initiatives such as vendor management, CRM enhancements, workplace initiatives, and board preparations.
• Support logistical and operational tasks, including organizing office space and data collection efforts.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1–3+ years in consulting, banking, tech, or early-stage startups with exposure to multiple business functions.
• Strong ownership, initiative, and ability to deliver high-quality work quickly.
• Systems thinking, pragmatic judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, dashboards, and translating data into insights.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and focus on impactful activities.
• Curiosity, honesty, and openness to changing perspectives based on new information.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
