Job summary

North Capital, a financial services and fintech firm, is hiring an Operations Associate to support the operations team in Salt Lake City. The role reports to the Head of Operations and requires strong Excel skills, organizational ability, and precise data handling across escrow, custody, and customer services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; must pass SIE and Series 7 within 90 days of hire.
• Excel proficiency and high attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support escrow and custody operations including projects, reconciliations, and data-entry.
• Support the customer support team by pulling reports and managing ticket queues.
• Maintain and clean up logs and data tracking.
• Identify weaknesses in processes and propose improvements for efficiency.
• Input and track data in Excel with a high degree of accuracy.
• Communicate with clients and assist them as needed.
• Other duties to support the operations teams.
• Research technical and industry topics and take initiative to complete assigned tasks.

Job description

North Capital is a financial services and financial technology company operating at the intersection of broker dealer services, custody, escrow, and private market infrastructure. We work with some of the most innovative real estate sponsors, alternative asset managers, and fintech platforms in the country. We are hiring an Operations Associate to support the operations team across a wide range of areas. This position will report directly to the Head of Operations. We are seeking a candidate who is highly organized, has a good working knowledge of Excel, and can perform tasks with efficiency. Previous experience in finance/accounting, customer support, Hubspot, DocuSign, and project management would be helpful but is not mandatory. We are seeking someone who has an interest in developing processes and who is willing to provide operational support to many different departments. This role requires high attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a full-time position located in our Salt Lake City (Midvale), Utah office.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the escrow and custody operations team - this will include participating in and managing mission-critical projects/reconciliations, organizing and maintaining records and files, responding to customer support tickets, escrow data-entry/maintenance and daily escrow/banking uploads to the North Capital escrow system.
• Support the customer support team - this will include pulling reports and reconciling information across different systems. This will also include providing customer support and managing ticket queues.
• Overall data maintenance - review and clean up logs and tracking.
• Identifying potential weaknesses in processes and coming up with solutions to improve the process. Offer ideas and develop strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Input and track data in Excel with a high degree of accuracy.
• Communicate with clients and assist them where needed.
• Other duties as assigned, including tasks to assist the operations teams.
• Willingness to research technical and industry subjects and take initiative to complete any assigned

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; must pass the SIE and Series 7 examinations within 90 days of hiring.
