Job description

Are you the person who hears “Can you figure this out?” and thinks, Absolutely?

Our client, a successful boutique law firm, is looking for a smart, driven, and resourceful Business Operations Associate to work closely with firm leadership and help make the business run better.

This is not a traditional administrative role, and prior law firm experience is not required.

We are looking for a motivated individual eager to learn, contribute, solve problems, and make an impact.

What You'll Do

No two days will look exactly the same. You might:

  • Identify a process that isn't working and figure out a better way to do it
  • Create and implement processes and procedures so the team isn't constantly reinventing the wheel
  • Coordinate projects and make sure things actually get completed
  • Help keep the firm's marketing efforts moving, including social media, PR announcements, website updates, and client reviews
  • Draft polished emails and communicate with clients
  • Research new tools, vendors, or solutions
  • Help organize and delegate large projects across the team
  • Jump in and support the paralegal team when a case requires extra coordination
  • Take a loosely defined request, determine what needs to happen, and run with it
Who We're Looking For

You are probably someone who:

  • Is naturally curious and loves solving problems
  • Takes initiative without waiting to be told what to do
  • Is comfortable figuring out things you've never done before
  • Pays attention and notices where help is needed
  • Writes and communicates exceptionally well
  • Is organized, dependable, and good at following through
  • Knows how to research an answer before asking someone else to solve the problem
  • Is comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Has a “how can I make this better?” mindset

A bachelor's degree, 3 years of office experience, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office are required. Experience with Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Zoom, social media, or project management tools is helpful. Legal experience is a plus, but not required.

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to get exposure to nearly every part of how a small professional services firm operates while working directly with its leadership.

You won't be handed a detailed playbook for everything you do. Sometimes, you'll be asked to create the playbook.

If you're bright, ambitious, resourceful, and looking for a role where you can learn quickly and make a visible impact, we'd love to hear from you.
