Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Established by a group of community physicians, the goals of the founding physicians have not changed since their establishment. These goals focus on:

This Business Office Manager position is full-time, with hours per week, offering full benefits and a convenient schedule. The individual will oversee the Business Office operations, including coding, insurance and patient billing, collections, cash management, Accounts Receivable, and staff management. The role involves participating in special projects and committees as directed by the Administrator. The Business Office Manager reports directly to the Administrator.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manage business office staff and delegate duties to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor scheduled cases to ensure compliance with the approved procedure list.
  • Ensure timely and accurate patient registration and efficient patient flow.
  • Oversee coding of procedures, ensuring compliance with HCFA/Medicare and third-party payor regulations, and conduct quarterly audits for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or three years of supervisory experience in a surgery center or large physician practice as a substitute
  • Certified coding certificate or extensive coding experience (three years) as a substitute
  • Experience managing all aspects of a Business Office
  • Knowledge of accrediting agencies and regulations
  • Ability to act as Administrator in absence
  • Professional collaboration skills with medical staff
  • Experience with contracting and payor contracts
