Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Office Manager will provide structure and leadership for the office employees. They will compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data to maintain accurate accounting records.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Manage day-to-day business operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Responsible for entering ancillary charges (e.g., Medicare, pharmacy).
  • Handle month-end closing processes.
  • Manage payroll processing bi-weekly, including quarterly payroll reviews, and serve as back-up for payroll processing.
  • Oversee Resident Trust Accounts.
  • Manage Promissory Notes at the community level and notify MSS when notes are paid.
  • Provide the pharmacy provider with daily census, care level changes, and insurance information.
  • Ensure accurate and timely mailing of monthly resident statements, follow up on private accounts, and update billing rates.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by MSS's Finance Department.
  • Delegate tasks and manage subordinate employees effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; college/vocational/technical training preferred.
  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with financial billing software is required; additional software knowledge is a plus.
  • Data processing experience is advantageous.
