Position Overview: Oak Hill Academy is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy individual to serve as our Business Office Manager. This key position supports the daily administrative operations of the school, oversees financial management, and ensures smooth office functionality. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, financial reporting, and office administration, and will embody the professionalism and mission-driven spirit of our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting and Bookkeeping:
● Manage all day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking.
● Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for school leadership and the Board of Directors.
●Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
●Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
●Assist with annual budget preparation and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
●Work closely with external auditors during annual audits.
●Process tuition billing, manage payment plans, and oversee collections as necessary.
School Support:
●Assist with admissions and enrollment processes as needed.
●Support the planning and execution of school events, including scheduling, logistics, and communications.
●Serve as a friendly and professional point of contact for students, families, and guests.
Qualifications:
●Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
●Minimum of 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or office management (experience in a school setting a plus).
●Proficiency with accounting software, (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks).
●Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
●Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
