Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to join our team. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Office Manager (BOM) is responsible for:
- Providing leadership and supervision to the Business Office team.
- Managing areas such as insurance verification, charge capture/billing, customer service, collections, insurance website administration, charge master maintenance, staff training, accounts receivable reporting and analysis, appeal management, clearing house, and system maintenance to meet revenue cycle goals.
- Ensuring billing practices comply with all applicable laws and maintaining accurate, confidential patient billing records, with accurate collection duties.
- Staff training and fair application of policies and procedures affecting the hospital.
This role also involves daily billing duties, including:
- Using the Meditech system for reporting, posting charges, issuing bills electronically, and closing billing periods.
- Playing a key role in collecting Medicare and Medicaid accounts.
- Collaborating with medical records and case management to maintain accurate billing and collection reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent hospital BOM experience.
- At least five years of supervisory experience in a medical setting (hospital, surgery center, physician’s office).
- Proficiency in accounting and experience with computerized accounting systems.
- Experience handling third-party payers including HOM, PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Demonstrates accountability, integrity, professionalism, openness, adaptability, creativity, and innovation.
- Meditech experience is a plus but not required.
