Description

The Business Office Manager will manage the financial activities of the hospital, including financial planning, cash flow, financial reporting, supply and inventory tracking, and maintaining positive relationships with third-party payors and insurance companies. The role involves overseeing the business office operations, managing office equipment, ensuring compliance with standards, and supervising staff to meet expected competencies. The manager will also uphold the hospital's mission, goals, and objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Contribute to hospital services, asset management, financial feasibility, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Managerial: Organize operational functions, delegate duties, conduct meetings, and oversee staff in billing, collections, patient registration, HR, and IT. Ensure staff compliance with policies and standards, and facilitate staff development programs.
  • Ensure accurate and current personnel records, including licensing and health information.
  • Maintain effective internal controls within the accounting system to safeguard financial data and assets.
  • Resources: Oversee communication, supplies, equipment, and facility comfort, liaising with vendors and maintenance personnel.

The Business Office Manager shall oversee all business office functions, with a focus on leadership, resource management, and compliance to support the hospital's mission and operations.
