Job summary

USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Business Office Coordinator to join our team. The BOC manages day-to-day business office operations, including AP/AR, and supervises registration, insurance verification, and medical records staff.

The role requires weekdays only, with possible early mornings or later evenings based on surgical schedule. Experience in medical office management and strong communication are essential assets for contributing to our outpatient ophthalmology

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of business office management experience.
  • Three years’ experience in a medical setting such as a hospital, physician’s office, or surgery center.
  • Accounts payable and receivable experience required.
  • Insurance verification experience required.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, scheduling, registration, and medical records.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with staff, patients, families, and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to and enforces all business office policies.
  • Supervises business office employees and processes.
  • Handles hiring, orientation, performance reviews, and training of registration and medical records staff.
  • Maintains thorough working knowledge of the accounts receivable system and manages managed‑care contracts.
  • Reconciles cash receipts to the deposit log.
  • Informs the business office manager of day-to-day operational matters.
  • Supervises all medical records activities in alignment with the center’s clinical needs.
  • Follows equipment safety guidelines and ensures proper use and care of equipment.
  • Partners with the administrator to develop the overall strategic plan of the business office.
  • Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and systems to minimize DSO, reduce bad debt, and increase productivity.
  • Performs other activities as requested by the administrator and assumes additional operational responsibilities as needed.

USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Business Office Coordinator to join our team. We have 2 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. Outpatient services are performed in Ophthalmology. Position requires weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule is subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary

The Business Office Coordinator (BOC) is responsible for day-to-day operations of the business office, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
