POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Office Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and exceptional customer service by greeting customers entering the Business Office and answering calls in a timely manner. Reply to all emails and voicemails. Assist parents in locating items on the portals (i.e. grades, statements, how to make payments, re-enrollment, etc.) Educate parents on navigating the portals (online payments and re-enrollment.)
- Post daily tuition, food services & fee management payments to student accounts. Prepare bank deposits.
- Create, share, maintain, and update spreadsheets/documents to assist in communications between business office staff and/or other offices. (ie. Re-enrollment communication lists, contracts/deposit received/missing, certificate of liability insurance, etc.)
- Keep all paperwork, forms & handouts for parents up-to-date and organized. When time is available, assist all business office personnel to update or modify their forms.
- Responsible for maintaining office supplies and submitting supply orders for office staff.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the Lobby area. Must keep forms and supplies up to date as well as keep the area sanitized.
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist all Business Office staff with projects, filing and any other requested assistance as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a high volume office setting
- Administrative assistant experience preferred but not required
